Getting Your LoudCity Plan

Theme: Dark | Light

When you sign up for LoudCity, here's what you'll need to know.

1) Your Streaming Server Information

Your stream host provides you with your server info. You'll need the server address, port, optional mount (If you're using Shoutcast2 or Icecast) and the admin password. You can run as many servers as you want, at whatever bitrate(s) you want.

2) Your Estimated ATH

ATH, or Aggregate Tuning Hours, is the sum of all listener-hours your station uses in a 30 day period. For example, ten listeners connected for 10 hours a day would be 100 hours/day, times 30 days, which would work out to 3000 ATH monthly.

If you're just starting out, go low on ATH. It takes time to build an audience, and you can always upsize when you outgrow your plan.

3) Your Anticipated Revenue and Expenses

Revenue would be things like banner ad revenue from your website, in-stream ads, listener contributions etc. Expenses would be things like stream hosting costs and music acquisition costs. Do not include LoudCity fees in your estimated expenses.

4) Your Custom Content Preference

All LoudCity stations receive a standard launch page for their stream. Remember, to be covered by our license, the music must launch from a web page on the LoudCity website.

For a little extra per month, you can design the web page listeners see when they arrive at LoudCity from your website. This is called a "custom player" or "custom content" and you can add this to your plan at signup. What's the benefit? Well, it depends on your setup. If you'd like a more blended appearance for the listener when they come to LoudCity from your site, Custom Content can help because you design the landing page.

You are responsible for building the web page yourself. You upload it to our server, you link to it from your website, and listeners see that page when they come to LoudCity from your site instead of your standard LoudCity launch page.
